The story hailing from Nivadi district, Madhya Pradesh is nothing short of startling. Here, a retired railway employee found love in his twilight years with a 35-year-old woman with eyes set on his pension and savings. Adding to the intrigue, she had a lover her age. When the old man insisted on cohabitation, she, alongside her peer lover, concocted a horrifying plan.
Aged 65, Ghanshyam was retired from the railway. His life savings and pension were soon overshadowed by a romantic liaison with Sonia, aged 35. However, Sonia's motives circled around wealth.
Sonia was already involved with another lover, Rohit Chaudhary. Utilizing Ghanshyam for her gains, the relationship flourished. But, upon Ghanshyam pressing Sonia to live with him, she conspired with her peer lover Rohit.
Ghanshyam and Sonia's affair took a ghastly turn, becoming fatal when, on October 7, police discovered Ghanshyam's half-burned body on Van Gaya Highway. The condition left investigators perplexed, given that the body was torched to conceal identity.
Police, upon examining the scene, realized efforts to evade identity discovery and evidence hiding. Despite thin leads, they persevered and utilized a charred mobile and identity card to unearth Ghanshyam’s identity.
Afterward, the investigation revealed Ghanshyam hailed from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Reviewing over 100 CCTV footages between Jhansi and Mauranipur, Ghanshyam was spotted on a bike with Sonia and another individual, a significant clue.
Police swiftly detained Sonia and her partner Rohit Chaudhary. Under intensive questioning, their entire plot unraveled. Both confessed to conning Ghanshyam to a lonely location, where they bludgeoned him with an iron rod, rendering him unconscious. Subsequently, to obliterate any trace, they set the body aflame with oils and vanished.
The elder Ghanshyam fell victim amidst this complex love triangle. His pension and savings were a lure for Sonia and her boyfriend Rohit, leading to the conspiracy. Police retrieved blood-stained clothes, the weaponized iron rod, and Ghanshyam's scorched motorcycle from the crime scene.
