The BJP has already announced its candidates for five out of seven Lok Sabha seats in the capital, Delhi. The Central Election Committee will convene on Monday to discuss the candidates for the remaining two seats, including contenders from other states. The East Delhi and North West Delhi constituencies are currently considering several potential candidates.
There's talk that BJP might field a local candidate from North West Delhi based on survey results indicating the populace's preference for a local face over a celebrity candidate like current MP Hans Raj Hans who is apparently not well-received for his absence in the area.

Sonu Sood's Name Surges in the Race
Insiders say that names like Yogendra Chandolia, Karma Singh Karma, and Dushyant Gautam are currently in the fray for the seat. A prominent local figure, Chandolia has served as the Mayor of Delhi Municipal Corporation while Karma Singh heads the Delhi Scheduled Caste Morcha. Popular actor Sonu Sood's name is also racing ahead as a considerable candidate.
Multiple Claimants for the East Delhi Seat
For the East Delhi seat, names like current chief Virendra Sachdeva and state secretary Harsh Malhotra are leading the race. Nonetheless, it is too early to predict BJP's move in Delhi, especially considering they haven't issued a ticket to any Punjabi candidate from Delhi to date. After Gautam Gambhir decided not to contest the elections, the seat has become intensely contested. Vishnu Mittal, former treasurer of Delhi BJP, asserts his strong claim on this seat.
