Recently, wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia met with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, which has sparked discussions about their entry into politics. Now, BJP leader Anil Vij has made a statement regarding Vinesh Phogat. Anil Vij said, "If Vinesh Phogat wants to transform from being the nation's daughter to Congress's daughter, why should we object?"
Referring to the wrestlers' protest, Anil Vij mentioned that Congress was backing the wrestlers from the very first day, and it was due to Congress's instigation that the movement continued; otherwise, a decision would have been reached.
'Everything will be understood with time...'
Earlier, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also commented on Vinesh Phogat. He said, "Vinesh will soon realize that Congress wants to exploit her reputation. Does Vinesh Phogat want to endorse the abrogation of Article 370 or support atrocities against Dalits? This is a temporary matter; everyone will understand in due time."

'We will convince our people...'
Responding to questions about internal strife following the release of the BJP candidates' list for the Haryana assembly elections, Anil Vij said, "There are 90 seats in the election; we had multiple candidates vying for a single seat. The party has released the list considering various factors. Minor grievances may occur, but we will resolve them."
Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia met Rahul Gandhi
On September 4, wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia met with Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. After the meeting, pictures of the athletes with Rahul Gandhi surfaced, leading to speculations that they might be joining Congress. Discussions are also ongoing about the assembly constituencies for Vinesh and Bajrang. It will be interesting to see from which seats these wrestlers will contest in the upcoming political arena.
