The Congress has highlighted the southern region in its initial list, introducing candidates for 16 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala, 7 in Karnataka, and announcing names for 4 constituencies in Telangana.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, upon securing his nomination from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency, expressed gratitude and humility. "Having served for 15 years, I've never needed to resort to negative campaigns," he remarked.
