The UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 has officially commenced today. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will conduct the examination in two shifts from August 23 to August 31. Following prior irregularities in the exams, the government decided to hold re-examinations. This time, stringent rules have been implemented to eliminate any malpractices. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a stern warning to those attempting to cheat, stating that their property will be confiscated.
What did CM Yogi say about the Cheating Mafia?
Addressing the public in Muzaffarnagar, CM Yogi highlighted, 'We are recruiting two lakh youths starting on August 23, 24, and 25 through the police examination. I urge all young candidates to participate in this recruitment process. No one can question your competence. Anyone who attempts to do so will have their property seized and distributed to the poor.' Note that any fraud during the examination will be prosecuted under new laws. The Yogi administration has introduced the UP Public Examination Ordinance 2024, which imposes life imprisonment and fines up to one crore rupees for those found guilty of leaking examination papers.
Police Surveillance Everywhere
To ensure the integrity of the recruitment process, stringent surveillance measures, including CCTV cameras, have been put in place. Each examination center has been equipped with CCTV cameras, and each center will have a control room connected to a main district control room. Monitors at all district control rooms will be connected to the state control room. Senior district officers will man the control rooms, and live monitoring will be conducted via mobile devices. Past candidates identified as cheaters, along with solver gangs caught over the past 12 years, will also be monitored.
AI Aiding in Catching Fraudsters
If any candidate attempts to sit for the exam on behalf of another person, state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) verification will make evasion impossible. Candidate photos will be cross-checked by AI, and older photos will be compared to Aadhaar records to prevent any discrepancies. Moreover, specialized checks will be conducted to detect hidden Bluetooth devices.
Half-and-Half Staff Formula at Exam Centers!
Exam centers will use a mixed staffing arrangement, with half the staff from the center itself and the other half from different schools or colleges. Sector magistrates and treasury officers will deliver exam papers to the centers, with police also deployed alongside staff.
