Chief Justice of India, D.Y. Chandrachud reminisced about an incident where he was trolled on social media for changing his seating position during a live-streamed hearing. According to a news agency, the CJI stated, this occurred a few days ago while he experienced slight back pain and adjusted his position by resting his elbow on the chair. Subsequently, social media backlash ensued, with accusations of him being arrogant and leaving the court during an important hearing.

'Our work commands the trust of the people'

CJI Chandrachud explained that the trolls did not consider the circumstances causing his actions. Having served in the judiciary for 24 years, he clarifies he never left the court; he merely changed his position amid severe criticism and trolling.
