The National President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Union Minister Chirag Paswan made a bold statement about seat-sharing and the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Patna. He clearly stated that he would never compromise on respectable seats.
Chirag Paswan expressed his pleasure that the Congress Working Committee remembered Patna, but he noted it as part of pressure politics. Sarcastically, he pointed out that the Leader of the Opposition claims they will contest all 243 seats, suggesting that such pressure is why Rahul Gandhi had undertaken such a long journey. Yet, Congress still hasn't clarified its chief ministerial choice.
The LJP (Ram Vilas) chief launched an attack on Congress and RJD, saying the presence of such big leaders for the CWC meeting in Patna is merely a pressure tactic. It is essentially an internal power struggle within the alliance to see who will dominate.
'Congress lacks the courage to contest alone in Bihar'
Delivering a fierce criticism of Congress, he reminded that the previous defeat was blamed on them. Congress is trying to respond now, but in truth, the country's oldest party lacks the courage to contest independently in Bihar. They have nothing to lose but neither the strength to venture without RJD.
Congress and RJD can't win without alliance
Chirag Paswan, reflecting on his political journey, acknowledged the questions against him, yet marked his resilience by contesting the 2020 assembly elections solo. Meanwhile, Congress and RJD lack the capacity to enter the field and win without a coalition.
Paswan made it clear that his party, under any circumstance, will not back away from respectable seats. His statement is seen as connected to upcoming political dynamics and electoral equations in Bihar. Presently, the Congress-RJD alliance's internal tensions and Chirag's stance have intensified Bihar's political climate.
