The CBI has filed an allegation against former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik for alleged corruption in the contracts for civil works related to the Kiru Hydroelectric Power Project. This project, valued at approximately 2,200 crore rupees, faced serious corruption allegations. Malik has stated that he himself informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the tender associated with these allegations.
Recently, former Governor Satyapal Malik released a statement declaring that he has been hospitalized for the past two weeks. He explained, 'The chargesheet was filed against me while I was in the hospital due to health issues. I want to honestly inform my countrymen that I am the son of a farmer and have lived my life by the principles established by the legendary farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh. I shall not be intimidated by this chargesheet.'

'I informed Prime Minister Modi myself'
Satyapal Malik claimed that the corruption-related tender was something he had personally informed PM Modi about. He further revealed that he canceled the tender due to corruption suspicions, which was later reactivated following his transfer.
The former Governor has appealed to the Prime Minister and the CBI, urging them to conduct a fair investigation into the matter and clarify any financial gain allegations. He stated, 'I have not accrued any wealth, residing in a single-room house, and am personally in debt. I will not accept false allegations.'
'Standing Firm Against a Despotic Government'
Satyapal Malik, exemplifying his integrity, stated that he stands resiliently against any despotic government, hoping for truth to prevail. He publicly implored Modi's government and investigative agencies to refrain from inciting public hatred against him and urged for an impartial investigation that unveils the truth.
