A wave of shock rolled through Keshav Puram in Delhi upon witnessing a startling raid by the CBI and police. Following a extended operation spanning over two days, the CBI successfully dismantled a human trafficking network and rescued several newborns.

Shockingly, among these, one infant was just 36 hours old, while another was a mere 15 days old. The police from Keshav Puram station stood vigilant throughout the raid.

7 Suspects Apprehended

The CBI cracked down on this gang, suspected of hospital infant thefts, making arrests across Delhi-NCR. Current leads have guided the CBI to the house in Keshav Puram where two newborns were saved. The CBI is diligently tracing the origins of these infants and investigating the circumstances surrounding their abductions.

Inquiries Underway With Suspects

Initial investigations lean towards an operation centered around the trade of newborns. Currently, the CBI is grilling a woman believed to be the supplier and a man thought to be a buyer in this sick trade.

Seven individuals, including a woman, have been held in custody in connection with this case. The sweep covered areas in North West Delhi and Rohini, commencing on Friday and continuing through Saturday. It is believed the ring targeted hospitals for stealing babies. A ward boy is among those arrested.

All Rescued Children Under Age 10

The CBI was tipped off about the child sale operation which prompted the swift raids. All the children rescued are under ten years of age, and thus far, 3-4 individuals have been arrested.

Children Sold for 4 to 6 Lakh Rupees

CBI officials revealed that the suspects connected with childless couples throughout India via advertisements, Facebook pages, and WhatsApp groups, offering babies for adoption.

They reportedly purchased infants from biological and surrogate mothers alike, selling them for 4 to 6 lakh rupees per child. These criminals are also implicated in fabricating fake adoption documents and extorting millions from unsuspecting couples who wished to adopt.
