Live Bypoll Results: Bihar and 7 other states results

Alongside the Bihar elections, polling occurred for eight seats spread across six states and one union territory, with results coming today, starting from 8 AM.

Together with the Bihar elections, by-elections were also held for eight assembly seats across six states and one Union Territory, namely Jammu and Kashmir. Results for these by-elections will be unveiled today. The states that went to the polls on November 11th include Jharkhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Odisha, Telangana, and Mizoram, with each state having one assembly seat in contention. Two assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir also witnessed voting. All results will be announced shortly.

Ghatshila (Jharkhand)

The Ghatshila assembly seat witnessed a voter turnout of 74.63%. Ramdas Soren, who passed away and was a part of the Hemant Soren government, left this seat vacant.

Tarn Taran (Punjab)

Kasmeed Singh Sohal of the Aam Aadmi Party was elected from Tarn Taran in the Punjab elections. His departure left the seat vacant, leading to by-elections on November 11th, with a voter turnout of 60.95%.

Anta (Rajasthan)

The BJP's Kanwarlal Meena won from Anta. Meena was disqualified after being sentenced for brandishing a gun at a magistrate. The by-election here saw an 80.32% voter turnout.

Nuapada (Odisha)

BJD's Rajendra Dholakia was elected from Nuapada. The seat saw 79.41% voting after his demise left it vacant.

Jubilee Hills (Telangana)

The seat fell vacant after the demise of M. Gopinath. Asauddin Owaisi sought votes for Congress during this by-election, which saw a 48.47% turnout.

Dampa (Mizoram)

Dampa is vacant following the death of MNF MLA Lalrinlunga Selo. An impressive 82.34% voting was recorded.

Budgam (Jammu and Kashmir)

Omar Abdullah contested from two seats in the Jammu and Kashmir elections, winning both but vacating Budgam, which saw a 50.02% voter turnout.

Nagrota (Jammu and Kashmir)

The BJP emerged victorious from Nagrota after the incumbent MLA's demise. Voting here was conducted on November 11th, recording a 75.08% turnout. Today's results will reveal who takes this seat.
