The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), under the seasoned leadership of Mayawati, has recently declared its candidates for three pivotal seats in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The esteemed party has entrusted Syed Danish for the Sant Kabir Nagar seat, Ravi Prakash Maurya with the Amethi charge, and Sabiha Ansari for Azamgarh.

Moreover, a seasoned contestant, Thakur Prasad, will once again represent the party for the Raebareli seat, symbolized by the BSP's iconic elephant. Despite having competed twice before in the state assembly elections from Raebareli, victory has so far eluded him.

Setting itself apart from the 2019 general elections when it collaborated with the Samajwadi Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal, BSP is entering the fray independently this time around. The party has already marked its turf in constituencies like Hathras, Mathura, Agra, and Fatehpur Sikri with promising candidates steering the electoral battle.

Amid the charged political climate, Mayawati's party projects a manifest resolve with a well-choreographed candidate lineup spanning various constituencies, asserting its formidable presence in the largest Lok Sabha representative state, Uttar Pradesh, where the electorate will cast their votes across all seven phases - with anticipation already building ahead of the results due on June 4, 2024.
