Tackling smuggling from Pakistan head-on, the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended four smugglers in Punjab. This bold operation in the border areas of Amritsar and Tarn Taran led to the seizure of two pistols, a substantial amount of live ammunition, heroin, a motorbike, and a drone.
The first operation by BSF took place near Bachiwind village in Amritsar, where a smuggler was arrested with 560 grams of heroin, a motorbike, and two mobile phones. The apprehended suspect has been handed over to Punjab Police for further investigation.

In a follow-up operation, acting on secret information, BSF conducted a search in Bagaria village, Amritsar, and recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone hidden with a pistol, two magazines, and three live cartridges.
The third operation occurred near the Amritsar-Jalandhar Highway. Alert BSF personnel captured two smugglers possessing a pistol and 11 live cartridges. The suspects reportedly hail from Timowal in Amritsar and Sarsi Kalan village in Taran Taran.

Another joint operation by the BSF and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in Bagaria village, Amritsar, led to the arrest of a smuggler with 1.225 kg of heroin, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle. The suspect is now with ANTF for legal proceedings. These arrests significantly disrupted the supply of a large consignment of heroin and weapons in Punjab.
