Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Brazil as part of his fourth foreign tour. He participated in the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting that terrorism is the greatest threat to humanity.

, he affirmed India's commitment to peace and brotherhood while criticizing neighboring countries for their double standards. He stressed that any country supporting terrorism, overtly or covertly, will have to pay for it, and there should be no hesitation in imposing bans on terrorists.

He stated that support for terrorism or tacit approval of it will not be tolerated and urged all nations to take decisive action on this matter.

Drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and Gautama Buddha, he asserted that India will continue to follow the path of peace, no matter how challenging the circumstances. Peace remains the best course for the welfare of humanity.

BRICS Nations Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack

Moreover, leaders at the BRICS Summit strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. They committed to tackling all forms of terrorism, cross-border terrorism, terror financing, and the harboring of terrorists. A zero-tolerance policy on terrorism must be adopted, and double standards should be eradicated.

The BRICS nations issued a joint statement vehemently condemning the Pahalgam terror attack. The statement expressed strong condemnation of the April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people and left many injured. The nations advocated for zero tolerance towards terrorism and urged the rejection of double standards in dealing with terrorism.
