In Mudarhama, Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, an intense encounter unfolded between combined forces and Militants resulting in the martyrdom of one soldier while another was injured. The wounded soldier has been rushed to the nearest hospital for urgent medical care.

Intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in Mudarhama led to a search operation in the area. During the operation, a fierce encounter erupted between the army personnel and militants.

It is reported that the army managed to surround 2 to 3 militants. During the confrontation, two soldiers suffered injuries. One of those brave men succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Previously, officials revealed that on Saturday in separate road accidents in Kathua and Udhampur districts of Jammu and Kashmir, two BSF soldiers, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, were martyred.

Near Rajbagh in Kathua district, a vehicle skidded off the road into Ujh Canal, resulting in the martyrdom of ASI Parshotam Singh of Himachal Pradesh, even as his two colleagues were rescued.

They mentioned that Singh was driving the car from Jasrota to Rajbagh when he lost control over the vehicle.

Rescue workers were successful in saving the lives of two BSF personnel, but Parshotam Singh was swept away by the strong currents and was later found in critical condition. Upon being admitted to the hospital, doctors declared him dead.

In another tragic incident inside the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel in Udhampur district, BSF jawan Amit Kumar Shukla (30) lost his life when his cab overturned. Officials noted that Shukla, who was stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, was traveling home to Jharkhand on leave.
