A major accident was narrowly averted in Parasora village of Begumganj Tehsil when a young man riding his motorcycle was swept away by a swollen river. Due to the heavy rains, the main Bhopal-Sagar road has been closed. The Parasori stream between Begumganj and Rahatgarh is also in spate, cutting off Begumganj's connection to Sagar and Vidisha.
