The battle for control over Mumbai will conclude today. The vote counting for 29 municipal corporations in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, has started at 10 AM. However, all eyes are primarily on the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). On Thursday, 52.94% turnout was recorded for 227 wards.

- The initial outcome of the BMC election count favored the Congress from Ward 184 in Dharavi, where Congress candidate Asha Kale registered a win with a total of 1450 votes. She triumphed over Shiv Sena's Vaishali Shewale and MNS candidate Parubai Katke in a tough three-way contest.
- In the latest BMC trends, the BJP alliance leads in 52 seats, while Shiv Sena (Uddhav) is ahead in 31 seats, with Congress taking the lead in 2 seats.

Rohidas Lokhande (BJP) secured 3334 votes, while Yogita Gavli (All India Army) received 1434, and Shalaka Haryan (MNS) got 3100 votes. In Ward 208, Ramakant Rahate (Shiv Sena Uddhav) has 4331 votes, and Vijay Lipare (Shiv Sena) has 2733 votes.
