Ready for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rolled out its fifth list of contenders. Spanning 111 constituencies, this list includes heavyweight candidates from states like Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

The prime picks for Bihar feature personalities such as Radha Mohan Singh from East Champaran, Ashok Kumar Yadav for Madhubani, Pradeep Kumar Singh representing Araria, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal for West Champaran, Gopal Ji Thakur from Darbhanga, and Raj Bhushan Nishad for Muzaffarpur.

Furthermore, Janardan Singh Sigriwal has been named for Maharajganj, Rajiv Pratap Rudy for Saran, Nityanand Rai for Ujiarpur, Giriraj Singh will contest from Begusarai, Ravi Shankar Prasad is named for Patna Sahib, Ram Kripal Yadav for Patliputra, R.K. Singh for Ara, Mithilesh Tiwari for Buxar, Shivesh Ram for Sasaram (SC), Sushil Kumar Singh for Aurangabad, and Vivek Kumar Thakur for Nawada.

In this new roster, the BJP has made some surprising moves by omitting certain stalwarts from the Lok Sabha election race. Notably, sitting MP from Buxar, Ashwini Chaubey, has been excluded from the list this round.
