When Amit Shah became the National President, he was 50 years old, marking Nitin Nabin's appointment as a strategic move by the BJP.
Nitin Nabin secured victory in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections by approximately 84,000 votes, defeating Shatrughan Sinha's son, Luv Sinha, by a significant margin.

Nitin Nabin represents the Bankipur constituency in Patna, successfully winning the public's trust for the fifth consecutive time. His political career commenced with a victory in the 2006 by-election from Patna West, followed by triumphs in the 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2025 assembly elections from the Bankipur seat. In the 2025 election, he won 98,299 votes, defeating RJD candidate Rekha Kumari by a 51,936-vote margin, marking his most significant victory so far. He has held Cabinet Ministry positions twice in the Bihar Government.
Son of Former Legislator Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha
Born in Patna, Nitin Nabin is the son of Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha, a senior BJP leader and former legislator. Following his father's passing, Nitin actively pursued electoral politics, quickly establishing his unique identity. Before entering politics, he actively engaged with the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, where his organizational skills gained recognition.
After the previous year's Lok Sabha elections, the party appointed JP Nadda as the Health Minister. Since then, the search for the next National President has been ongoing.
