Devender Singh Rana was the brother of Union Minister Jitendra Singh. Upon hearing the tragic news, Jitendra Singh rushed to his brother’s residence and met with the family. Amitabh Mattoo remembered Devender Rana

Additionally, Amitabh Mattoo, former Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, expressed sorrow over Devender Rana’s demise. Mattoo noted that Rana had once been a close associate of Omar Abdullah, won the Nagrota seat, and his commitment to serving the state’s citizens was unwavering.
