The results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were surprising, with the most shocking outcome coming from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, where the grand Ram Temple has been constructed. The Bharatiya Janata Party faced a defeats in Ayodhya with the Samajwadi Party claiming victory. A certain 'Sonu Nigam' made a comment that has since fueled a fiery backlash from the public. But what exactly is happening?

Ayodhya’s loss ignites Sonu's ire

It all started when a Twitter handle by the name Sonu Nigam tweeted about BJP's failed campaign in Ayodhya. The message read: 'The government that has glorified Ayodhya, built a new airport, upgraded the railway station, and established a Ram Temple after 500 years, creating an entire temple economy, now struggles in the Lok Sabha election here. Shameful for the residents of Ayodhya!' This sparked an uproar.

Users vent anger on singer

The tweet went viral and users started bombarding it with critique, venting their anger on social media. Some retorted - 'Did you even get a chance to sing? Have you ever met those whose homes were demolished, or are you too busy faking songs? Shame on you.' Another user wrote - 'Flattery does not win votes, remember the people understand everything.'

Not the Bollywood Sonu Nigam, but a lawyer...

In reality, people misunderstood the tweet to have come from Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam. However, this isn't so. In fact, this Twitter account belongs to Sonu Nigam Singh, a lawyer from Bihar, as detailed in his profile. This account has no affiliation with the singer Sonu Nigam.
