Bihar Crackdown: Arms Seizure and the Arrest of a Notorious Criminal

In Begusarai, Bihar, police have apprehended dreaded outlaw Nitish Kumar with a reward on his head, confiscating a significant arsenal including six pistols and 63 bullets from his possession.

The Begusarai police have captured Nitish Kumar, a notorious criminal with a reward of two lakh rupees, alongside a hefty cache of weapons. Based on his tip-off, another associate was arrested at a different location. Six pistols and 63 cartridges were seized from them.

In another operation, the Garhara police station apprehended three criminals on a bike. Two pistols and several cartridges were recovered. SP Manish disclosed that the notorious criminal Nitish Kumar, listed in the district's top ten, was arrested with the help of the STF team.

Eight cases including murder, robbery, and extortion are on record against Nitish Kumar. He is a resident of Chakwa village in the Khodawandpur police district. Nitish committed homicide in August 2023, shooting a rival in the alcohol trade, and has been on the run since.

The SP expressed optimism that Nitish Kumar's arrest would lead to a reduction in crime in the area.

In yet another incident, Garhara police station officers, acting on a tip-off, nabbed three miscreants on a motorbike who were en route to commit a crime. Among the arrested were residents of Lakhisarai and Begusarai districts, namely Saurabh Kumar and Aditya Kumar.
