An encounter took place involving the attacker of an ASI in Munger, Bihar. Following the overturning of the vehicle, suspect Guddu Yadav tried to escape, attempting to snatch weapons from police officers, leading to self-defense firing by the police. The suspect was shot in the leg.
As the police team proceeded to capture the main suspect, an accident resulted in the Mufassil station's vehicle crashing. This caused injuries to the SHO and three others. Guddu Yadav, in custody, then seized a constable's weapon, prompting self-defense gunfire resulting in a bullet wound to the suspect's leg. He is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
On Friday, ASI Santosh Singh responded to a complaint to resolve a dispute with a police team in Munger's Nandlalpura area, involving two families. Acting on the information, ASI Santosh Kumar approached the parties to mediate.
During the confrontation, an unknown person attacked ASI Santosh Kumar on the head with a sharp weapon. ASI Santosh sustained critical injuries, necessitating a transfer to Patna. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. After his death, the police intensified their hunt for the suspect, arresting one suspect and, based on his information, proceeded to arrest the main suspect.
Just two days prior, another ASI was attacked in Bihar's Araria, resulting in his death. In that case, police apprehended six suspects. The incident occurred when ASI Rajiv Kumar, with a team, attended to arrest a criminal and was mistakenly attacked by locals. This led to his death.
