The alleged suicide case at BP Mandal College of Engineering's girls' hostel in Bihar's Madhepura had yet to calm down when another young woman's body was found. The discovery from a closed room created a stir in the area.
The body of a 24-year-old woman was found inside a lodge in Anand Vihar Colony, Ward No. 3, Madhepura, causing panic. The deceased was identified as Nidhi Kumari, daughter of Ramchandra Yadav, resident of Larha Ward No. 9, Singheshwar police station. It is said that Nidhi had been living in Madhepura and preparing for the BPSC teacher recruitment for the past month. She was the youngest of two brothers and two sisters. At the time of the incident, she was alone in the room, as her roommate Pratibha Kumari had gone home two days ago. Pratibha mentioned having a phone conversation with Nidhi that evening when everything seemed normal.
Nidhi’s nephew, Ashish Kumar, who is also staying in Madhepura for studies, reported that he sensed something was wrong when his calls went unanswered. At the lodge, they found the room locked from the inside. Upon opening the door, Nidhi was found unconscious. Quickly, she was taken to the medical college, where doctors declared her dead. Lodge owner Shivshankar Bharti said 8 to 10 girls live on rent in his three-story building's ground floor, and he was not present at the time of the incident.
A lady named Archana informed him of the incident. As soon as the police received the information, they arrived at the scene, sealed the room, and engaged in thorough investigation. The police stated that the matter is being examined from all angles, and the real cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report. This mysterious death has created an atmosphere of fear, with speculation running rife.
