The administration in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, continues its determined efforts against illegal structures. Recently, a mosque built unlawfully in Pipariya village, Bhojipura area, faced a bulldozer operation. Officials state that the mosque was constructed by unlawfully claiming community land. After extensive court proceedings, the mosque was finally demolished as per the court's directive.
The district administration team, accompanied by a large police force and bulldozers, arrived in Bhojipura village. Amid tight security, the demolition of the mosque began, which spanned approximately 300 square yards. The matter had been contentious for a long time and eventually reached the courts. According to the administration, the construction was deemed illegal and thus removed.

The dispute over the mosque, built on community land, initially went to the Tehsildar's court, which issued orders against those who defended the mosque. The ruling clarified that the temporary structure had been illegally established by seizing government land.

Subsequently, the Muslim side approached the civil court, which upheld the Tehsildar's decision. Multiple notices were issued, but when compliance was not met, the administration, along with heavy police presence, senior officers, Bhojipura police station's officials, the SDM, and ASP, executed the demolition.

SDM Sadar Pramod Kumar stated that local villagers used the temporary mosque for prayers. It was these villagers who filed the court case. Following an adverse decision, the mosque was demolished. The SDM also noted that the land, listed as barren (Category 5) and government-owned in revenue records, was where the illegal construction occurred.
This legal battle had been ongoing since 2008. The Tehsildar's court had already issued eviction orders. The parties involved took the matter to the civil court, which also dismissed their case. With no relief from the courts, the administration proceeded with the demolition. In such evictions, fines are usually imposed, which the involved parties had already paid. The action was on hold due to the civil court case, but with the recent court order, the demolition was completed.
