An inebriated man launched an assault on the convoy of Jan Suraj Party candidate Dr. Vijay Gupta in Ara, Bhojpur district on Wednesday. Dr. Vijay Gupta described the incident as a calculated conspiracy. He remarked that the event is reminiscent of an era of lawlessness, and liquor prohibition exists only on paper.

According to the information received, Dr. Vijay Gupta was out on a campaign trail with his supporters on Wednesday. As his convoy reached Pirauta village, a drunken youth suddenly began hurling stones and bricks at their Scorpio vehicle. The attack shattered the car’s window and left the vehicle severely damaged. The incident caused chaos and escalated tension in the area.

Reacting to the incident, Vijay Gupta asserted it wasn’t merely an act of drunkenness but rather a calculated plot. He stated, 'A miscreant in Pirauta village attacked our vehicle and broke the window.' Dr. Gupta further mentioned that the intoxicated individual was using profane language while mentioning a political party.
