Just a day before the 2025 Bihar Assembly election results, the state's political temperature soared. RJD leader and Grand Alliance's chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav convened a crucial meeting at his official residence on Thursday, highlighting the importance of maintaining vigilance during vote counting.
Key figures like CPI (ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, VIP chief Mukesh Sahani, and leaders from allied parties were present. According to sources, the meeting extensively discussed the deployment of agents, potential trends, and administrative coordination during the counting.
In a press conference after the meeting, Tejashwi stated, “We don’t want a repeat of the 2020 mishap. At that time, the Grand Alliance was heading for a clear majority, but due to some officials’ whims, the results were skewed. We will not allow a repeat this time.”
He urged the Election Commission for ensuring complete impartiality, asserting that any boundary overstepping or politically influenced actions by officials would be a crime against democracy.

Tejashwi claimed that the people of Bihar are resolved to oust the NDA. He remarked, “We are aware of the pressure from Delhi, but the public mandate is clear. We are winning, and winning with a substantial majority.”
He also assured that all Grand Alliance agents and workers would remain vigilantly stationed at the counting centers to promptly identify any fraudulent attempts or delays. Tejashwi urged all coalition parties to stay clear of rumors or provocations and to trust only official commission statements.
