The atmosphere turned tense at GMCH Hospital in Bettiah, Bihar after the tragic death of a new mother. The deceased, Pinki Devi, hailed from Tikulia (Chanpatia). Her family claimed that grave negligence and failure to provide timely blood by the hospital led to her demise.

The family had brought Pinki Devi to the hospital for delivery, where she underwent a normal delivery and was discharged with a clean bill of health.

As soon as Pinki Devi reached home, her health suddenly deteriorated. Noticing her condition worsening, she was taken back to GMCH the next morning. The family alleged she was in dire need of blood, but the doctors neither informed them about this nor arranged for the necessary blood in time.

The family stated that the doctors failed to provide even a single unit of blood, leading to her death. Upon hearing this tragic news, the family erupted in anger, causing an uproar in the hospital premises.

This incident has raised serious questions about the hospital administration, doctors, and health system. The family demands a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible. Villagers highlighted that such negligence isn't unprecedented and urged the administration to address these issues promptly.

Upon hearing about the incident, journalist Manish Kashyap visited the grieving family. He listened to their plight and blamed local representatives and the health department for their failure.

Kashyap mentioned that despite reaching out to both MLA and MP, the family received no assistance. He subtly criticized MP Sanjay Jaiswal, attributing the negligence as a direct cause of death.

Manish Kashyap stressed that the inability to provide even a single unit of blood highlights a major systemic failure. The family and villagers are demanding a fair investigation and strict action against the responsible authorities.
