A dramatic twist unfolds in the Ara district of Bihar, as new details surface about the Tanishq jewelry heist. It's reported that this heist was masterminded from within the confines of a Bengal prison by the notorious Vaishali don, Chandan Kumar, also known as Prince. Kumar is firmly identified as the brains behind this audacious theft.

Allegedly rigged by Chandan Kumar's directives, seven armed criminals raided the Tanishq showroom, seizing jewelry and cash worth 109 million rupees, and disarming the security guard. Initial claims pegged the loot at 250 million rupees, but recent disclosures confirm it stood at 10 crore (100 million rupees).

On March 10, during their escape after executing the heist, two criminals were injured in a police encounter. The police successfully recovered 50% of the stolen jewelry from the wounded perpetrators.

The firearms and ammunition stolen from the guards were also retrieved. Caught criminals have admitted under police interrogation that the crime was committed under the command of imprisoned don Chandan Kumar from Bengal.

The daylight robbery at the Tanishq showroom near Gopali Chowk on March 10 in Ara, Bihar, is being exposed layer by layer. The finger points to Vaishali's infamous don, Chandan Kumar aka Prince, locked up in Bengal's Bankura Jail, as the heist mastermind.

Two FIRs have been lodged in relation to the Tanishq heist. The first FIR was filed by Binod Kumar, the Assistant Store Manager, while the second was filed on the basis of a written application by Barhara Station Officer-in-Charge Shaileshwar Prasad, detailing the police shootout encounter with the two culprits who later provided statements.

According to sources, the spotlight is on three major criminals linked to the Ara heist: Subodh from Nalanda, the infamous history-sheeter Chandan aka Prince of Vaishali, and the elusive Nirantak.

These three criminals, currently incarcerated in different jails in West Bengal, continue to orchestrate robberies across various districts. They employ young recruits, whom they groom into crime syndicates, to carry out such heists.
