A heartbreaking story surfaced from Anekal, Bengaluru. A couple from Odisha ended their lives here. The police reported that the incident took place in a rented house in Kallabalu village. Both were 23 and 25 years old, working as housekeeping staff in a private company in the industrial area.

According to the agency, police stated that the couple rented the house only 10 days prior. The incident came to light when the landlord informed the police that the tenants had not opened their door since Sunday. Despite knocking multiple times, there was no response. Growing suspicious, the landlord contacted Anekal police. Upon arrival and breaking open the door, the officers were stunned to find both lovers dead.

Preliminary investigations suggest it as a case of suicide. The man first hung himself. The woman tried cutting the rope but was too late to save him. When she realized he was dead, she took her own life as well.

Locals noted a quarrel between the two on Sunday. Witnesses mentioned that the man appeared intoxicated during a heated argument between them. That very night, the incident occurred. The police have seized some items from the room and continued investigations. No suicide note was found. Mobile phones and other items have been sent for forensic examination. Efforts are ongoing to contact the deceased's families. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Anekal police have registered the case and initiated an investigation.
