Independent Lok Sabha candidate from Rajasthan's Barmer-Jaisalmer, Ravindra Singh Bhati suggests that earlier governmental attention to Barmer could have made a difference.

In a Friday interaction with the press at Jodhpur Airport, Bhati welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Barmer and commented on the political myths and rumors that often mislead, stating that political seasons are tinged with such incidents but he remains optimistic.

Regarding Manvendra Singh Jasol's return to BJP, Bhati stated that Jasol is like an elder brother to him and respected his personal decision, noting that they have always supported each other in the past.

Despite requesting a BJP ticket for the Shiv assembly constituency of Barmer, Bhati, after being denied, chose to contest as an independent and succeeded. His current reconnection with the party is a point of concern for BJP as he stands as an independent in the Lok Sabha elections too.

Bhati shared that he has been visiting places like Gujarat to meet with the Thar community, who have assured him of their support. He remains hopeful for favorable election outcomes due to the blessings and support of the people.

The student community at Jai Narayan Vyas University, predominantly from the Barmer-Jaisalmer region and supporters of Bhati, are discontent with the university administration's decision to conduct exams from April 15th, which they see as an attempt to interfere with the young voters' participation.
