Following the marriage, she released a video seeking protection from the SSP, citing threats to her life. Mehtasha claims her uncle and aunt intend to sell her to an elderly man.
This entire incident unfolded in the Hajiyapur area of Bareilly's Baradari region. In her 1-minute 29-second video, Mehtasha explains that she willingly left home and married Harishankar alias Lukka. There was no force applied. Now she requests protection from the SSP, fearing that her uncle and aunt may kill her. Currently, she is safe and happy, hoping her in-laws are not troubled as they are unaware of the whole episode.

Meanwhile, Mehtasha's family has filed a case against Harishankar's family. It includes allegations against Harishankar’s parents and brother, accusing them of trapping Mehtasha into marriage. However, Mehtasha has rebuffed these allegations through a video.
How Mehtasha and Harishankar Came Close
Reportedly, the two lived in the same neighborhood and met some time ago. Their interactions began casually but soon developed into a friendship that blossomed into love. During this time, Mehtasha discovered her uncle's plans to marry her off to an elderly man, prompting her to plan an escape with her beloved Harishankar.
Following their plan, the couple eloped on April 1st and got married in a temple. Now, Mehtasha seeks police protection and asserts that her marriage was a choice made out of love. She pleads with the authorities not to harass her in-laws.
The police report they have received complaints from the girl’s side. An investigation is underway. A video has surfaced from the girl, and its contents are being examined to proceed with further legal actions.
