Missing Girl at Bareilly Junction Found After 6 Days

At Bareilly Junction, Uttar Pradesh, a chilling incident unfolded as a young girl was kidnapped. The girl's parents were waiting for a train when an opportunistic couple abducted her, intending to sell her. Upon discovering their daughter was missing, the distressed parents raised an alarm. The railway police quickly arrived at the scene and scrutinized the CCTV footage. This investigation revealed the truth. A team was promptly set up, and after six days of diligent efforts and extensive CCTV reviews, the girl was successfully found, and the perpetrators were apprehended.

The Girl Had Come for Medication with Her Parents

A couple from Haridwar had come to Bareilly Government Hospital on the 28th with their children to procure medicines. Due to the distance, the wife left her husband and child at the station to go to the hospital. Upon her return, she was shocked to find her daughter missing, prompting her to notify the police immediately.

Girl Located After a 6-Day Search

The incident reportedly occurred on August 28. As soon as information reached them, the railway junction police formed several teams. CCTV cameras across the junction, both on platforms and outside, were meticulously examined, revealing footage of a woman taking the girl. After six days of searching, the girl was recovered and safely handed over to her parents.

Kidnapped with an Intent to Sell

The accused confessed to the police that they lived around the junction and, due to financial hardships, planned the kidnapping. Spotting the girl alone at the station, the woman seized the opportunity to abduct her. Kusum and her husband Nenwa, residing in Farrukhabad Road, Jalalabad, were found with the girl. Upon interrogation, it emerged that the abduction was with an intent to sell her. They intended to sell her if a buyer Materialized. The abduction happened near the ticket window in the waiting area on the 28th.
