BNP Leader's Home Attacked, Young Daughter's Tragic Demise
According to local media reports, this incident unfolded in the Lakshmipur district, where the residence of Bangladesh Nationalist Party leader Bilal Hossain was ignited after being forcibly locked from the outside early Saturday. Bilal Hossain, an assistant organizational secretary of Bhabaniganj Union BNP, was present at home with his three daughters at the time.
The fire claimed the life of Ayesha Akhter (7), Bilal Hossain's youngest daughter, on the spot, while his other daughters, Salma Akhter (16) and Samia Akhter (14), suffered serious burns. Bilal Hossain also sustained injuries in the fire. The local authorities confirm Bilal Hossain's treatment at Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital, with his two injured daughters being moved to Dhaka for better medical care.

Additionally, Dhanmondi 32, the historic residence of Bangladesh's founding leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, faced another attack.
Bangladesh Sees Violent Protests on Hadi's Death Third Day
The violence has extended to anti-India protests, with demonstrations reported outside Indian missions in Rajshahi and Chittagong. A communal attack also resulted in a Hindu man's death.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh's interim government chief advisor, Mohammad Yunus, announced a national day of mourning over Sharif Usman Hadi's death, alongside special prayers across the country. Hadi's funeral proceeded Saturday under tight security on the Dhaka University campus. Authorities indicate heightened security in sensitive zones, though tensions remain high.
