A new update has emerged in the rape case in the Muradnagar area of Comilla district, Bangladesh. Protests have erupted nationwide following the assault on a 21-year-old Hindu woman, sparking widespread outrage. The Hindu community and organizations across Bangladesh have taken to the streets to protest this incident. Last night, students at Dhaka University joined the protest.

Who is the accused?

The main accused in this case is a local man alleged to be a leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He not only assaulted the woman but also recorded the incident. So far, three suspects have been arrested, accused of recording and spreading the video of the victim.

According to reports, the suspect forcibly entered the woman's home with a knife, committed the crime, and filmed the act. The victim was threatened with death if she reported to the police.

According to information, when the victim refused to open the door, the perpetrator Ali forced entry and assaulted her. Local residents caught Ali and assaulted him, but he managed to escape. Police apprehended Fazor Ali at around 5 AM on Sunday in the Saidabad area of Dhaka.

A case has been registered under the Prevention of Women and Child Repression Act based on the victim's written complaint filed on June 27. Muradnagar police have begun investigating the matter.
