Neighboring Bangladesh is currently experiencing a turbulent period. Amidst this, a delegation led by Bangladesh's National Security Advisor (NSA) Khalilur Rahman met with NSA Ajit Doval in Delhi on Wednesday.
This meeting in Delhi between the NSAs of Bangladesh and India was conducted under the seventh NSA-level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC). Delegations from both nations reviewed the CSC's activities during this session.
However, the official CSC meeting will be held on November 20. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NSA Doval will host his counterparts from CSC member countries: Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Seychelles will participate as an observer nation, while Malaysia has been invited as a guest.

The Foreign Ministry's statement mentioned that in alignment with the objectives of the CSC, the seventh meeting of National Security Advisors will offer participants an opportunity to review activities under various collaboration pillars such as maritime security and safety, counter-terrorism and radicalization, combating international organized crime, cyber security, protection of critical infrastructures, and humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief, while discussing the roadmap and action plan for 2026.
The CSC was established to foster cooperation on security matters among its member countries and strengthen regional security in the Indian Ocean region through deeper partnerships.
