Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has convened a crucial meeting in light of the attack launched by Houthi rebels with a ballistic missile on Ben Gurion Airport. Following this, he will meet with his security cabinet at 7 PM to discuss actions against the Houthi rebels.

According to The Times of Israel, an Israeli official stated that after the Houthi missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with Defense Minister Israel Katz and other top defense officials, will discuss potential responses. This includes contemplating a direct Israeli military response targeting Houthi assets in Yemen.

Moreover, at 7 PM, PM Netanyahu will personally engage with his security cabinet to deliberate on extending military operations in Gaza, addressing the conflict in Syria, examining the Houthi attack, among other critical issues.

'Six People Injured in the Attack'

On Sunday, Houthi rebels aggressively targeted Israel's Ben Gurion Airport with a ballistic missile. Despite efforts, Israeli security forces were unable to intercept this missile, which hit the airport. Prior to the missile impact, landing and takeoff procedures at the airport had been halted. The attack resulted in minor injuries to six individuals, who are currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital.

'We Will Strike Sevenfold'

In a brief statement post-attack, Defense Minister Israel Katz declared, "Anyone who harms us will face our wrath seven times over."

Israel has recently refrained from responding militarily to recent Houthi attacks in Yemen, while the United States continues a vast campaign against the Iran-backed group.

Meanwhile, a senior Houthi official, Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, conveyed to the Qatari Al-Arabi TV channel that the Houthis demonstrated their ability to strike sensitive targets in Israel, declaring, "In our battle against Israel, no boundaries will limit us."

Additionally, Houthi media chief Nasser Al-Din Omar reportedly cautioned airlines, warning that their operations in Israel may jeopardize the safety of their aircraft.
