During this, Ramgopal was taken to a house and murdered. This house is said to belong to Abdul Hamid, where a viral picture shows a person holding a gun standing.
Following the news of Ramgopal's death, chaos erupted in Maharajganj. Furious protesters vandalized the accused's house and several vehicles, setting them ablaze. Later, on Monday, when the deceased's body reached the village, the crowd became uncontrollably angry. During this time, several homes, nursing homes, bike showrooms, and shops in the Maharajganj area faced arson and vandalism. Meanwhile, police deployed tear gas to control the unruly crowd.
Seeing the situation worsen, internet services across the district were suspended. PAC and RAF forces were deployed on the roads, and even the STF Chief was seen on the streets with a pistol. Three days post-incident, the Maharajganj area in Mahsi remains tense.
