The relentless pursuit of justice in the Badaun double murder case in Uttar Pradesh continues. After the suspect Sajid was killed in a confrontation, the focus now shifts to Javed, the other alleged participant, who is being vigorously hunted by the police. Last night, amidst the quest for Javed, Badaun officers conducted a series of raids, scrutinizing potential leads including interrogations with Javed's father and uncle as well as searches at the homes of his close associates.
It is reported that Javed shut off his mobile phone on the evening of the crime, putting obstacles in the way of tracking his whereabouts. Meanwhile, during questioning, Javed's father claimed that his son was at home at the time of the children's murder (Ayush-Ahaan), complicating the police's efforts to decipher the truth.
On another front, Javed's mother maintains that her son was home during the incident, suggesting Sajid acted alone in the heinous crime. She expressed approval of the police's actions in dealing with Sajid. After receiving a call about his brother being in a fight, Javed left home but upon learning of the murders, he fled the scene.
Javed Has a Bounty of 25,000 Rupees
As things stand, Badaun police have announced a reward of 25,000 rupees for information leading to Javed's capture. Numerous teams are on the hunt, yet, there's no trace of Javed, nor has the motive for the brutal slaying of two innocents been uncovered. Authorities assert the truth will only surface with Javed's capture.
Insider sources reveal that police are keeping a watchful eye on acquaintances, relatives, and friends of Javed, reaching out to his every possible hideout with the assurance that his days as a fugitive are numbered.
Statement from the Children's Grieving Father
The father of the deceased children, Vinod, has voiced his distress over the tragic incident, claiming there was no enmity with Sajid and Javed. He seeks justice and insists on Javed's arrest to uncover why his sons were killed, and to determine if a larger conspiracy lurks behind the act. He fears if Javed too is encountered, then the mystery may forever remain unsolved, leaving the bereaved family without answers.
It's noteworthy that Vinod Kumar, a contractor and father of two boys, Ayush (13) and Ahaan (6), found them murdered near Badaun's Mandi Committee police post. The shocking crime was committed by Sajid, who ran a hair salon opposite Vinod's home. Within hours of the crime, police cornered and fatally shot Sajid in an encounter, during which Inspector Gaurav Vishnoi was also injured and subsequently hospitalized.
