The Badaun police have apprehended Javed, the second suspect in the double murder case, who was on the run since the crime. A reward of ₹25,000 had been declared for his capture. Javed was seized late at night from Bareilly.
According to sources, Bareilly police have handed over Javed to the Badaun authorities for further interrogation. Javed was allegedly preparing to surrender in Bareilly after fleeing to Delhi. However, the police nabbed him just in time.
It is reported that
was detained by locals at the Satellite Bus Stand area in Baradari late at night and handed over to the police. A video capturing the arrest has gone viral on social media, showing

After the co-accused Sajid was shot dead in a police encounter, the search intensified for Javed. Badaun police conducted several raids last night in pursuit of the suspect, interrogating his father and uncle, and targeting the residences of Javed's close friends.
The Capture of Murder Suspect Javed
Following the Badaun killings, Javed had switched off his mobile and fled to Delhi. He was planning to return to Bareilly to surrender. Nevertheless, locals apprehended him at the Satellite Bus Stand late at night and delivered him to the police. Afterwards, Bareilly's officers transferred custody to Badaun's force.
Javed, in his video, claims his innocence. He states that he had good relations with the family of the murdered and he was not involved in the crime. The truth will only emerge following a thorough police investigation.
It is worth mentioning that, in the Badaun district's Baba Colony—just 500 meters from the Mandi Samiti police outpost—contractor Vinod Kumar's two sons, Ayush (13) and Ahaan (6), were brutally murdered by slitting their throats. The shocking act was allegedly committed by salon owners Sajid and Javed. Within three hours of the incident, the police cornered and killed Sajid in an encounter, where Inspector Gaurav Vishnoi also suffered injuries and was hospitalized. Meanwhile, Javed escaped from the scene.
The Badaun police had declared a reward of ₹25,000 for information leading to Javed's arrest. Various teams were deployed in search of him, yet for 36 hours, no lead was obtained nor could the motive for the merciless murder of two innocents be discerned. Authorities believed the reality of the situation would be revealed with Javed's capture. Now that Javed is in custody, the true motive behind the double murder is expected to unfold.
