In a shocking revelation, the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International has claimed responsibility for the explosion that rocked the Dera Baba Nanak area of Gurdaspur district on Monday night. They have justified their heinous act as a retaliation for past misconduct. Babbar Khalsa stated that two months ago, Jatinder, along with several police officers, visited their home, misbehaved with their family, and forcibly took their CCTV DVR. Previously, they mistreated other families in the Ramdas area as well.

Admitting responsibility for the attack in their social media post, the organization declared, 'On Monday, the grenade attack at Jatinder the policeman's home in Raimal village is claimed by us—Happy Passia and Bhai Shera. Two months ago, he, along with some policemen, misbehaved with my family and forcibly removed our DVR. Previously, he had wronged other families in the Ramdas area, actions we have tolerated neither then nor now.

'We Will Hit Back Harder'

They further stated in the post that any policeman or officer who has a penchant for such actions should reconsider by looking at their own families. We will respond to a brick with a stone, and as the police are conducting fake encounters and wrongfully harassing families, we will soon retaliate with major action, targeting police officers.

As per the information, the blast occurred near the house of a policeman currently posted in Amritsar. However, a few days ago, he visited the house to meet his uncle. Following the explosion, panic spread through the surrounding area.

Police Launch Investigation

The police, having arrived at the scene, have registered a case and initiated an investigation. SSP Suhail Qasim stated that it was a low-intensity blast; however, the exact reason remains unclear. Several low-intensity blasts and grenade attacks have been reported in Punjab in recent days, arousing the vigilance of security agencies. Meanwhile, the police are investigating, and security around the area has been intensified.
