The renowned teacher and motivational speaker, Awadh Ojha, has officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Hailing from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, Ojha's family resides there. When questioned about his son's leap into politics, Awadh Ojha's father, Mata Prasad Ojha, mentioned during an 'Aaj Tak' interview, 'If it's written by God, my son might even become the Prime Minister. Everything is indeed orchestrated by the divine.'
According to Mata Prasad Ojha, 'Even Lal Bahadur Shastri had no one campaigning for him, yet he became PM. However, I will not go to Delhi to campaign for my son.' As Delhi prepares for its assembly elections next February, there’s speculation about Awadh Ojha contesting.
Awadh Ojha’s mother, Santosh Ojha, associated with the Congress and serving as the senior vice-president of the Civil Bar Association, reflected on his childhood naughtiness often leading to school complaints. While he aspired to join civil services but didn’t succeed, he has mentored many to become IAS and IPS officers. No matter where Awadh resides, he is sure to make a name for himself.
Congress Mother, AAP Son
Though a member of Congress, Santosh Ojha holds no grievance about her son's allegiance to AAP, trusting in his intellect and choice. 'If fate permits, I may go to Delhi, but Awadh intent on enriching education for the underprivileged, finds this easier through politics,' she remarked.
Friends Share Their Thoughts
Awadh’s childhood friend and businessman, Harpal Singh Bagga, also from Gonda’s prestigious Fatima College, pridefully noted Awadh’s widespread popularity. ‘In Dubai, people eagerly take selfies with him. His motivational speeches have helped many,’ Bagga shared. Given Delhi’s educated populace and significant Sikh community, Awadh's victory seems assured.
Harpal Singh Bagga confidently predicts that when AAP forms the government in Delhi, Awadh Ojha will hold a ministerial position. He also plans to head to Delhi to campaign on his friend’s behalf.
Meanwhile, childhood associate Subodh Mishra, a supporter of former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh and a village leader, remarked on Awadh’s lifelong ambition. 'Though unable to qualify for civil services themselves, they've helped many reach that dream through education. In politics, too, they'll make a name,' Mishra pledged his support to campaign for Awadh in Delhi.
