Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has given his first response following the party's defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections. He stated, 'We humbly accept the people's mandate. Congratulations to BJP on their victory. We vow to always work in the welfare of the people.'

In a video message, Kejriwal expressed, 'The results of the Delhi elections are out today. We accept the people's decision with utmost humility. We embrace their verdict. I extend my congratulations to BJP for their triumph. I hope they rise to the expectations with which the public has entrusted them.'

He remarked, 'The opportunity given to us by the public over the last decade has allowed us to work extensively. We've made substantial progress in sectors such as education, healthcare, electricity, and water. We've strived to provide relief to people in various forms and aim to enhance Delhi's infrastructure.'

Kejriwal affirmed, 'We shall always be there for the joy and sorrows of the people as our purpose in politics is not for power. We see politics as a means to serve society. We intend to serve as a strong opposition while continually engaging in community service. We will continue to be there for the people.'

He wished to congratulate every member of the Aam Aadmi Party for their commendable fight. Despite enduring several challenges, our workers fought gallantly throughout the election, and for that, I commend them.

Delhi's Chief Minister Atishi, in her initial response, expressed gratitude towards the Kalka Ji assembly's public for their faith in her. She thanked her team for enduring power struggles, hooliganism, and assaults, while diligently reaching out to the public. The decision of the remaining Delhi public is clear, and we accept it.

She mentioned, 'I have won my seat. Yet, this is not a time for celebration but a struggle against BJP's authoritarianism and thuggery, which continues and will persist. The Aam Aadmi Party has always fought against wrongdoing and will continue. This may be a setback, but our struggle for the people of Delhi and the nation never ends.'
