Laxman Sivaramakrishnan on R Ashwin:
The Indian cricket team faces England in Dharamshala for the last match of the five-Test series set to begin on March 7. This clash is especially momentous for star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who will be celebrating his 100th Test appearance. Ashwin seems fully primed for this significant milestone.
However, even before the first ball has been bowled in this historic match, Ashwin finds himself at the center of controversy. Former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan accused Ashwin of rude behavior, claiming he ignored calls and messages. Sivaramakrishnan took to social media, stating he made several attempts to congratulate Ashwin on his 100th Test but to no avail, suggesting a lack of regard for former cricketers.
Sivaramakrishnan Levels Allegation Against Ashwin
On a post on social media platform X, Sivaramakrishnan commented, 'I tried phoning him multiple times to wish him for his 100th Test, but my calls were snubbed. I even sent a message which went unanswered. This is the respect we, the ex-cricketers, seem to get.'
