Former Indian spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan accused Ashwin of rude behavior, claiming he ignored calls and messages. Sivaramakrishnan took to social media, stating he made several attempts to congratulate Ashwin on his 100th Test but to no avail, suggesting a lack of regard for former cricketers.

On a post on social media platform X, Sivaramakrishnan commented, 'I tried phoning him multiple times to wish him for his 100th Test, but my calls were snubbed. I even sent a message which went unanswered. This is the respect we, the ex-cricketers, seem to get.'
