Following the alleged mistreatment of Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal within the premises of Delhi's Chief Minister's residence, police recreated the crime scene on Friday. Maliwal's medical examination has confirmed the assault, and her statement under section 164 has been recorded in court. Meanwhile, a tussle of allegations has commenced between the Aam Aadmi Party and Swati Maliwal. The AAP has dismissed the allegations, dubbing it a BJP conspiracy. Vibhav Kumar has also lodged a complaint against Maliwal with the Delhi Police. Now, Maliwal has thrown back accusations, alleging the party's efforts to shield the accused, Vibhav Kumar.
Indeed, senior AAP leader Atishi, at the press conference, claimed Maliwal to be the strategist and front for the plot. Arriving at the CM's abode on May 13th without an appointment, her objective was to frame CM Kejriwal. His absence thwarted her plans. Subsequently, Maliwal leveled charges against Vibhav Kumar. The video released today lays bare the truth, revealing Maliwal as executor of the conspiracy. Since CM Kejriwal was granted bail, the BJP has been noticeably rattled, fabricating a conspiracy in their agitation. Under this connivance, Maliwal was directed to the CM's residence.
In response to these allegations, Swati Maliwal retorted sharply. Sharing a post on social media platform X, she wrote, "Leaders who joined the party yesterday have branded a 20-year-old activist a BJP agent. Just two days ago, the party had confessed all in a PC, and today, a U-turn. This thug is threatening the party, claiming to reveal all secrets if arrested. That's why he’s been seeking refuge everywhere from Lucknow. The party succumbed to his pressure today, questioning my character to save a goon. No worries, I’ve fought alone for the women of the nation and will do so for myself. Go ahead with the character assassination, the truth will unfold in time!
Atishi raises questions about Swati Maliwal’s complaint
Unveiling the events of May 13th to the media, Atishi highlighted, "In her complaint to the Delhi Police, Maliwal alleged severe battery. She claimed her head was struck against a table and split open, her clothes torn. However, the video tells a different story, portraying her threatening Vibhav Kumar instead. Her clothes are intact, and no head injury is apparent. Today's video debunks Maliwal's accusations as baseless." Vibhav Kumar in his complaint has detailed the entire incident of May 13 meticulously.
Swati Maliwal intimidated the police: Atishi
According to Atishi, "Maliwal intimidated the police at the gate, claiming her status as a parliamentarian and threatening their jobs. She entered the CM's residence after an argument with the police. The security staff denied her entry, seating her in the waiting room instead. She barged into the CM's drawing room shortly after, insisting on an immediate audience. When Vibhav Kumar arrived, he informed Maliwal that the CM was unavailable. Maliwal vocally opposed and attempted to force her way inside. Kumar's obstruction triggered Maliwal to push past him into the residence."
Vibhav Kumar lodges a police complaint
Vibhav Kumar has filed a complaint against Swati Maliwal with the Delhi Police. Through e-mail, he's alleged trespassing, misbehaving with CM's security personnel, and forcefully entering to pose a threat to CM's security among other charges. Kumar's e-mail complaint has been forwarded to the SHO of Civil Lines and the DCP of North District.
