Ukrainian citizens have voiced concerns over the perceived softness of U.S. President Donald Trump towards Russian President Vladimir Putin. They feel that Putin is 'deceiving' and that Trump's response is overly lenient.

Yulia Porovska, an office clerk in Ukraine, mentioned, 'Russia isn't just attacking energy infrastructure; it is targeting civilian sites and other objectives too.' Discussing Trump and Putin's talks, she suggested, 'I think it's a tactic to erode Ukraine's last advantage. Russia will gain the capability to target other objectives, which is precisely what it's pursuing.'

'Putin is Deceiving'

She noted, 'It seems to me that Putin is deceitful. Trump is definitely giving ground to Putin by showing concessions. They are trying to portray a peaceful front, but in reality, Putin is deceiving.'

Freelancer Vyacheslav Davidenko (56) commented, 'Our president mentioned multiple crucial issues. Infrastructure is vital, but resolving global matters holds greater significance, and no agreement has been reached on these points.'

'Americans Surprise Themselves with Their Choice'

He added, 'Trump is truly being lenient. I reckon Americans themselves are astonished by whom they have chosen. America is America, and Trump is their president, but we have our agenda too—to safeguard our liberty. We trust our president, and that’s what matters.'

'Putin on the Brink of Compromise'

Business manager Taras Papka remarked, 'Russia is incurring losses in this war as well. Ukraine has targeted Russia's oil and gas infrastructure, yet Putin remains unwilling to return the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. He is contemplating that during talks with Trump, some advantage might be gleaned. This is the sole reason urging them to keep the discussions going.'

Bank manager Maryna Mamedova (27) mentioned, 'I believe Putin is on the verge of compromise. He has become morally weakened and is gravitating towards negotiation.'
