Alwar Blue Drum Murder Case:

Roughly five months ago, Meerut was in the grip of a terrifying story involving a blue drum. Such fear spread that husbands across the nation lost sleep. Saurabh, a man whose body was found in the drum, signaled the disappearance of smiles from husbands everywhere. His wife, coincidentally named Muskaan, was behind this grim act.

While the entire country witnessed the infamous blue drum in which Meerut's Saurabh was found, no one saw his body being removed. Now, this missing glimpse from the past is a reality in Alwar.

About 250 kilometers from Meerut, in Rajasthan's Alwar region, a similar blue drum story has unfolded with another husband's body. While the condition of the body prevents us from showing photographs, cameras captured the removal of the cloth in which the body was wrapped.

This incident unfolded in Karethal Tijara, Alwar district. The house owner, Rajesh, a property dealer also involved in the brick kiln business, resides there. On Sunday, August 17, 2025, local police received a call. They promptly arrived on the scene.

Residents began gathering outside Rajesh's house as police vehicles arrived. Shortly after, officers reached the rooftop, where two blue drums and a water tank were found. A strong odor filled the air, so everyone covered their noses and mouths.

Upon instruction, a person removed the lid from one drum, releasing a stronger stench. He hesitated before pulling out a cloth from inside. The overpowering smell forced him back. After extracting the cloth, he leaned back in and informed the officers that only a body remained inside.

Approximately 250 kilometers from Meerut, the blue drum at Alwar spat out another husband, Hansraj alias Suraj. Coincidentally, Suraj lived on that very rooftop with his wife and three children, underscoring the drum's dark fate for husbands. Intriguingly, when Suraj emerged, his wife and children were missing, as was the landlords' son.

Suraj, a native of Shahjahanpur, UP, married Sunita eight years ago, and they have three children. Sunita had a compulsive love for social media and making short videos. Around two months ago, for work, the family moved to Karethal Tijara, where Suraj found work at a brick kiln with Jitendra, the accountant. This association turned into friendship.

Working together, they often indulged in drinking, which led Jitendra to meet Sunita and watch her videos. Gradually, love blossomed between them. During the monsoon, brick kiln operations halt, prompting Suraj to return to Shahjahanpur. However, Jitendra, desiring proximity to Sunita, convinced Suraj to stay as tenants.

Jitendra began an orchestrated plan to intoxicate Suraj, allowing easier meetings with Sunita. Sunita grew uneasy, reporting this sudden addiction to Jitendra's mother, the landlord. Intrigued by Meerut's Muskaan story, they saw an opportunity to eliminate Suraj using the same method.

Moving surplus drums from the brick kiln, provided for water usage, the stage was set. Sunita borrowed a drum from her landlord, citing water scarcity, with ominous intentions.

The evening of August 16, during Janmashtami, neighbors last saw Suraj. The following morning, on August 17, Sunita and children were missing, as was Jitendra. A peculiar odor led Mithilesh to contact the police, who then uncovered the morbid truth.

Upon opening the blue drum, police discovered the body within, layered with salt to accelerate decomposition. Unlike Muskaan's case, Suraj's body may have been in the drum for merely 20-24 hours before it began decomposing due to the oppressive humidity.

Jitendra and Sunita's disappearance necessitated their capture to solve the crime. In less than 24 hours, both were in custody, unveiling the entire conspiracy before the police, unmasking the mystery of the blue drum once more.
