In Akola, Maharashtra, a violent confrontation broke out between two communities. During the turmoil, one group, in a rage, set an auto-rickshaw on fire, amplifying tensions. Promptly informed, the police and fire department arrived at the scene and managed to extinguish the fire. Police forces are stationed to ensure the situation remains under control.
The incident occurred in the Hariharpet Old City police station area. The conflict reportedly began when an auto collided with a motorbike. The drivers belonged to different communities, causing the clash to escalate into violence. Subsequently, the auto was set on fire, further heightening the tension.

Intense exchange of stones between both communities
In retaliation, the other community responded, leading to a vigorous stone-pelting between both sides. Officers from the Old City police station promptly arrived at the scene, attempting to manage the situation, but intense stone-throwing ensued between the communities. The fire department was also notified to control the fire.
SP's statement on the incident
Currently, Police Superintendent Bachchan Singh, along with additional forces from various stations, are deployed to keep the situation stable. SP Bachchan Singh mentioned that an investigation is underway. The police are preparing for further action in this case. The situation remains stable under police vigilance.
