Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the UP government. During a press conference held in Lucknow, he declared, "I can never forget the 'tap theft' incident." Referring to the powerful government official Avnish Awasthi, Akhilesh asserted that he orchestrated the events. He emphasized, "We will not forget this, and both the government and its operating officials should be aware of it."

According to the SP leader, "I have been counting the days until the government's downfall since Janmashtami. Only 493 days remain. This administration's countdown has begun. They rely on an electoral trio - officials, the government, and the election commission. But if the election commission itself deceives, who can we turn to? Rumor has it that commission officials provide codes to help BJP increase votes."

On a question regarding the reduction in GST rates, Akhilesh stated that it has been decreased solely due to the Bihar election. However, this will not curb profiteering. The elections will not be impacted as people have understood their tactics. They say one thing and do another.

In the conference, Akhilesh Yadav declared that on Teachers' Day, they resolved that once they form the government, they will provide quality education leading to respectable jobs and livelihoods. This government doesn't want children to learn, closing schools. Employment isn't on BJP's agenda; otherwise, they wouldn't have shut 27,000 primary schools. The 69,000 teacher recruits wouldn't have to protest.

Regarding the Barabanki lathi-charge incident, he expressed sorrow over the treatment of organizational children under BJP, labeling it as a 'national disgrace.' Responding to protests at Minister Rajbhar's residence, Akhilesh expressed support, saying, "We wish for Rajbhar to transition from Panchayati Raj to Public Works Department."
