Akash Anand, nephew of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supreme Mayawati and the party's national coordinator, has demanded action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi while criticizing Udit Raj. Via a post on social media platform X, Akash Anand struck the Congress leadership, calling for the expulsion of Udit Raj from the party.
Recently, Congress leader and national spokesperson Udit Raj made a controversial statement about Mayawati, prompting Akash Anand to demand the Uttar Pradesh police file an FIR against him. Amidst this dispute, Udit Raj met with the Delhi Police Commissioner, claiming his life is at risk and sought action against Akash Anand and his supporters.
Following these events, Akash Anand once again took to X to directly aim at Rahul Gandhi, accusing Congress of disrespecting the Bahujan movement continuously. In his post, Akash articulated that Congress leaders consistently insult the Bahujan movement.

He pointedly questioned whether the esteemed position of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the constitution who awakened the pride of millions of Dalits, oppressed, underprivileged, and minorities, was due to Congress's benevolence? After threats to silence Mayawati, the national spokesperson's indecent remarks on Babasaheb's contribution reveal Congress’s mindset towards him.
Akash further stated that Rahul Gandhi cannot champion Dalit interests merely by causing a scene in Parliament and posing with Dalit students. Babasaheb’s honor must be protected by immediately ousting this opportunistic leader from the party. He made it clear: Babasaheb is the deity of millions in the Bahujan community and they will not tolerate any disrespect.
The statement by Akash Anand has intensified tensions between Congress and BSP. BSP has previously accused Congress of ignoring the Dalit community and conspiring against the Bahujan movement. So far, Congress has not issued any official response to this statement.
