In a thought-provoking social media post, IAS Officer Niyaz Khan from Madhya Pradesh openly criticized the practice of animal slaughter before Bakr-Eid, deeming it inappropriate. He emphasized the importance of protecting the environment and all life forms, stating, "Trees, plants, and animals share equal rights on this planet, just like humans."

Participating in a tree planting event on World Environment Day in Bhopal, Khan reiterated, "This Earth is not just for humans. Trees, plants, animals—every living entity has rights and must be protected."

This accomplished IAS officer, known for penning 11 English novels and his environmental advocacy, highlighted the challenges of climate change in another post.

Niyaz Khan, serving as Deputy Secretary in the Public Works Department (PWD), previously stated, "Climate change is evident worldwide. Weather patterns are erratic, with temperatures soaring. Obsession with materialism is overshadowing the urgency of climate catastrophes. Who will resolve this grave issue? Protecting our planet is every Earthling's duty."

Demonstrating his ongoing concern for the environment and wildlife, Khan expressed on March 27, "Worldwide materialism is destroying the environment. Forests and plants are being eradicated, replaced by concrete jungles. Humanity is now paying the price for this exploitation. Environmental destruction will lead to human destruction." He further reflected on March 25, "Look around, this Earth is rooted in injustice. Justice is but an illusion. The powerful are pardoned for all."

Khan's posts have sparked a heated debate on social media, with some supporting his call for environmental conservation while others view it in a religious context.
